Available in turquoise, rust, and cream, the Muller Van Severen hats were developed alongside A Lot of Work, our debut monograph on Belgian design studio Muller Van Severen. Carrying Fien Muller and Hannes Van Severen’s distinctive colour sensibility, the hats take inspiration from their work—where colour plays a central role, treated as material rather than ornament, shaping rhythm, contrast, and spatial perception. They were first presented during Milan Design Week 2026 at the Apartamento Bookshop, just above our Muller Van Severen exhibition Silhouettes: Celebrating 15 Years. Together with the book and hats, the Muller Van Severen candleholder collection Silhouettes, created in collaboration with BD Barcelona and drawn directly from the exhibition, is also available.
About Muller Van Severen
Founded in 2011 by Belgian artists Fien Muller and Hannes Van Severen, Muller Van Severen grew from years of individual artistic practice and a shared desire to rethink the everyday. Their collaboration began with functional objects and evolved into a distinctive language shaped by sculpture, architecture, and use, independent of trends. Their furniture exists as drawings in space: fine lines, transparency, and openness allow both the environment and objects within to remain visible. Solid, timeless materials are used in their purest form, combined in unexpected ways, while colour becomes a structural element, shaping rhythm and perception. Through this approach, Muller Van Severen has forged a singular, internationally recognised voice in contemporary design.
