Copenhagen: Launched during Copenhagen Design Week in collaboration with Other Circle, Studio Sweet Studio offers a peek inside the spaces where three Copenhagen-based artists live, work, and play. These are the rooms that host their everyday rituals and idiosyncrasies—their obsessions, messes, and strokes of genius.
In the thick of the city, Esben Weile Kjær’s studio is a magnet for everything orbiting his world: gigantic inflatables, bejewelled rats, and an eclectic sprawl of furniture. Both an extension of his home and a playful deviation from it, the space becomes a literal and metaphorical bed for his alter ego—a place where facets of his artistic personas are sculpted, inflated, and set loose.
Down by the waterfront, Karl Monies works in a studio watched over by The Little Mermaid and steeped in the climate of the old harbour. It’s a place where materials decide for themselves what to become—no rules, no blueprint, just a playground for the mind.
In bright Østerbro, Cecilie Bahnsen’s studio becomes a map of how she envisions womanhood: a light-filled space anchored in comfort, airiness, and soft beauty. From the walk through the park that leads her there to her petal-shaped post-its, every detail mirrors the delicate patterns she so often returns to. Scroll down and discover their creative corners in the short films below!
