Our second-edition Apartamento Notebooks are here, and they’ve landed in the hands of some of the most talented people in our community: the illustrators and artists who have brought our beloved Apartamento Cookbook series to life. Ten years later, we’re celebrating with an extra sweet and delicious release: Cookbook #10, Aphrodisiacs—alongside the fresh, vibrant new colours and formats of the Apartamento Notebooks. Over the years, we’ve explored every corner of the culinary world we could reach—from Rice to Cakes and Desserts to Winter Soups—pairing each recipe with the perfect artist to bring it to life. After a decade of culinary adventures, the series has become a love letter to our community of food lovers, artists, and culinary aficionados. And what better way to celebrate the 10th anniversary than by inviting our favourite illustrators to play once again?
Now in fresh, fruity shades—Dragon fruit, Prickly pear, and Fig—our new and improved notebooks are made for writing, doodling, scheming, and everything in between. Oscar Grønner’s notebook

Oscar Grønner draws in his Apartamento Notebook in Fig. Inside, a stream-of-consciousness takes shape, mostly of people—his favourite thing to draw. Oscar illustrated the very first Apartamento Cookbook, a collection of 16 decadent cakes and desserts from around the world, featuring the contributors’ favourite holiday-season recipes, with recipes from Martha Stewart, Alice Waters, Laila Gohar, Frederik Bille Brahe, and Masayo Funakoshi, among many others.

Dennis Eriksson’s notebook

Dennis Eriksson illustrates his Apartamento Notebook in the colour Dragon fruit. Presenting Outfit of the Day—featuring the eternal dilemma, hat or no hat; the tie-chicness of Office Man; and the striped trousers of Modern Man—all in his unmistakably vibrant style. Dennis illustrated the fourth Apartamento Cookbook, our homage to the egg, universal symbol of fertility and the circle of life, with recipes by Carlo Cracco, Rafram Chaddad, May Chow, Elisabeth Prueitt, Kim Hastreiter, Fabián von Hauske Valtierra, Dylan Watson-Brawn, and Clare de Boer, among many others.

Izumi Shiokawa’s notebook

Izumi Shiokawa draws in her Apartamento Notebook in the colour Prickly pear. Inside: juicy summer-red apples, a cluster of sun-warmed red grapes, small odes to September and its moods. Izumi illustrated the sixth Apartamento Cookbook, dedicated to Somehow Salads, a collection of 16 seminal recipes exploring the broad world of the salad kingdom, with recipes by the likes of Claudia Roden, Fatmata Binta, Lexie Smith, Mingoo Kang, Stephanie Alexander, and Anders Frederik Steen, among many others.

Olga Prader’s notebook

Olga Prader works in her Apartamento Notebook in the colour Fig. As she invents the rules to her own dot-to-dot game, she also decides how to play it: her signature shapes and compositions set the pace—she might just be able to make time stand still. Olga illustrated the eighth Apartamento Cookbook, our grand Shakespearean quest to answer the age-old question, Tuber, or not Tuber?—a valorous dive into all tubers and their kindred stems, answering with recipes that celebrate root vegetables by the likes of Corey Lee, Arielle Johnson, Claire Ptak, Thalia Barrios García, Motoyuki Daifu, among many others.

Sainte Maria’s notebook

Sainte Maria works in her Apartamento Notebook in the colour Dragon fruit. Maria illustrated our 10th Apartamento Cookbook, recently released to celebrate a whole decade of Apartamento Cookbooks and years of culinary antics. This edition explores the one and only theme of Aphrodisiacs—love and lust in all their forms: historical and contemporary, raunchy and tender, extravagant and intimate—all in pursuit of pleasure, appetite, and a little something extra.
